Welcome to my site!
I am an Assistant Professor of Rhetoric and Composition in the English Department at Minnesota State University, Mankato. I earned my PhD in Rhetoric and Writing from Bowling Green State University in 2019. I teach courses in writing, rhetoric, and pedagogy.
As a teacher-scholar-administrator, I value writing program communities as sites of inquiry. I take particular interest in teaching and research opportunities that live at the intersections of composition teacher preparation and development, feminist research methodologies and pedagogies, embodied rhetorics, community-based research, and digital and multimodal writing practices.
My dissertation project, a mixed-methods case study guided by feminist community-based teacher-research methodology, explores how first-year graduate teaching associates in a composition practicum address embodiment and performance in the context of teaching first-year writing at a given institution.
